1.0 Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish the University's requirements for single sign-on attribute release, in order to provide ease of use, federation, and awareness relative to the use of personal identity data for authentication, and to maximize the security of identity data while minimizing its misuse or theft.

2.0 Background

Brown collects and stores a great deal of information, including data about its students, faculty, and staff, as well as many other individuals and organizations connected to the university. Brown has established the protections necessary to maintain the privacy of all connected to the university, and to maintain compliance with all regulatory mandates on storing and using private information. Information on the University Privacy Policy can be found here < TBD >. This Attribute Release Policy is targeted only for single sign-on, and falls under the general provisions of the Brown Privacy Policy.

It is important for the Brown community to know that the University shares identifying information, or "attributes", with others. The ability to share such information allows for seamless and secure access to the web pages of partner service providers (SP) without further authentication of the user.

Brown has announced itself as a Federated Authentication Identity Provider (IdP), and the transfer, release, and use of attribute information is central to the operation of Federated Authentication. However, attribute values may represent 'personal data' and are subject to protection, regulatory oversight, and mandatory compliance measures.

The University is dedicated to ensuring the privacy and proper handling of the identity data of its students, employees, and individuals associated with the University. The goal of this Attribute Release Policy (ARP) is to ensure that the necessary procedures and awareness exist for the use and release of identity data, while also enabling secure federation and authentication between Brown and its partners.

Brown University follows established best practices governing the release of personally identifiable information to service providers – be they internal Brown service providers, or external resources at another institution. Brown has identified several categories of service providers, and the attributes that may be released to service providers falling into each category. The release of additional available attributes may be requested by contacting the Shibboleth Administrator.

3.0 Scope

This policy applies to all users, computing resources, and applications owned or managed by Brown University. Individuals covered by the policy include (but are not limited to) Brown faculty and visiting faculty, staff, students, applicants, alumni, guests or agents of the administration, and external individuals and organizations accessing network services via Brown's computing facilities.

Computing resources include all university owned, licensed, or managed hardware and software, and use of the university network via a physical or wireless connection, regardless of the ownership of the computer or device connected to the network.

These policies apply to technology administered in individual departments, the resources administered by central administrative departments (such as the University Libraries and Computing and Information Services), personally owned computers and devices connected by wire or wireless to the campus network, and to off-campus computers that connect remotely to the University's network services.

5.0 Definitions

Attribute – An attribute is a piece of information describing some aspect of a person's identity. Examples of attributes include, but are not limited to email address, University affiliation, name, library bar code, etc. Attributes may be asserted by an IdP to an SP and different attributes may be sent to different SPs.

Brown verified site/unverified site – Sites verified by the UIAMSC will have access to a wider array of attributes and/or not require user consent for the release of those attributes. Sites which have not been verified will require user consent for basic attribute release and committee permission for additional attributes.

Federation – A group of organizations that share a level of trust and work with each other to inter-operate, frequently defining a common set of shared attributes. Brown is a member of the US higher education federation, InCommon, and has created its own campus federation. There are many education, government, and potentially business federations throughout the world.

Identity Provider (IdP) – Every constituent of a federation must provide this service for the purpose of verifying the identity of users who belong to an institution on behalf of other federation members requesting identity verification. This is the "home institution" login component of Federated Authentication. The IDP also provides the important role of providing information (attributes) about users when prompted by service requests.

InCommon – InCommon is the U.S. higher education federation. Brown, as well as many peer schools and service providers that cater to the higher education sector, are members of InCommon and share a common infrastructure and language for defining interoperability and attributes.

Service Provider (SP) – A service provided by a federation constituent that a user might want to access, with access mediated by Shibboleth. May services are provided by commercial partners. However, increasingly collaboration sites supporting joint work and hosted by other campuses also manage access using Federated Authentication.

Shibboleth – Shibboleth provides for privacy protection through Attribute Release Policies (ARPs). Release of user attributes from an Identity Provider (IdP) to a Service provider (SP) is determined by the IdP's ARPs. ARPs contain a set of rules specifying which attributes to release. Shibboleth is an open source implementation of the OASIS SAML standard and the project has implementations of both the Service Provider and Identity Provider Software.

Shibboleth Administrator – The person or group responsible for managing the technical aspects of Shibboleth Infrastructure, in particular for configuring and implementing attribute release policies on the Identity Provider (IdP).

About The Deck

Welcome on www.ghettotarot.com

See the traditional tarot cards come to life in this creative, provocative, modern deck. Inspired by the creativity and strength of the citizens of the ghetto, the Ghetto Tarot will guide you in changing your perception, turning negativity in your life into positivity while discovering the power of your own thoughts.

The Ghetto Tarot is a photographic interpretation of the well-known traditional Rider-Waite-Smith deck. Set in the Haitian ghetto, these fresh scenes were inspired by those originally created in 1909 by the artist Pamela Colman-Smith. The scenes were replicated by Alice Smeets with the assistance of a group of Haitian artists called Atis Rezistans using only material they were able to find or create locally.

While Tarot originated many years ago when the circumstances within the world seemed very different, they still resonate today with timeless symbols that can be applied to our busy modern world. And not just our modern, Western world, but also to any other continent, country or culture, including the Haitian Ghetto. So here comes a contemporary, provocative and vivid tarot deck!

The photo project aims to reach beyond cultural boundaries of prejudice and ignorance to achieve a much-needed transformation of the collective conscious perception of the ghetto whilst discovering the power of our own thoughts. Therefore the Haitian slum is presented in another light and the pictures highlight the creativity and strength of its citizens.

The photographer is certain ; Only we ourselves are able to assign value or judgment to a tangible or intangible thing, which creates a positive or negative emotion. We lend a word meaning according to the way in which we were raised, our personal experiences and depending on who taught us to speak. Every one of our sentiments is a choice based on our thinking. We can look at destruction and see either despair or the start of something new. With this awareness comes the power to change the meaning of every word, action and emotion. It’s all about perception.

This means we are not slaves of our pasts, we are not imprisoned by our current societal pressures, but we are free if we choose to be. We can give ourselves the freedom to create our own reality!

And if you want to find out how to change your perception… ask the cards!

About The Ghetto

In Haiti, ‘ghetto’ means a life in the slums. It means living without financial security. Yet ‘ghetto’ also means community, family, solidarity, strength and rich creativity. The Haitians are claiming the word ‘ghetto’ for their own. The word reached the island from overseas where it was associated with racism, poverty and exclusion. They liberate themselves of this unfavourable interpretation and are turning it into something beautiful. Their act of appropriating a cheerless word by altering its meaning is an act of inspiration.

Watch how they perceive their home!

Within the consumer products and manufacturing industry, 42 percent of respondents said they're planning to invest $5 million or more in 2017, compared to 27 percent in the media and telecoms industry, and 23 percent in financial services. Put together, 30 percent of consumer manufacturing and media/telco industry respondents said their companies have already deployed blockchain into production.

Yet the industry the Deloitte report identifies with the most aggressive deployment plans is healthcare and life sciences: 35 percent of respondents in that industry say their companies plan to deploy blockchain in production within the next calendar year. When you look at some of the blockchain healthcare initiatives already out there, that stat starts to make a lot of sense.

One exciting project Forde pointed to is MedRec , an MIT initiative creating a blockchain to serve as a digital family history of medical records.Think about sitting down in a doctor's office and being asked your family medical history for a certain illness. You might, off the top of your head, have no idea of the answer. But with MedRec blockchain, families and medical providers can create a shared medical history that can be passed from generation to generation.

"With medical records, we're all asked that question: Is there any family history of this? The answer is usually 'I don't know,'" said Forde. "What's interesting here, as a result of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), we now have this mandate for electronic health records, and the government subsidizes doctors to get those records. But that data is still siloed. There needs to be a technology or protocol allowing all that data to be shared, regardless of provider. MedRec helps facilitate that. It's not just about the interoperability of your data; it's also about the protection of your data from fraud."

Forde said the project is also evolving as a way for hospitals and medical practices to interface with consumer tech. Think about all the real-time health data collected by wearables and fitness trackers and even apps like Apple Health. MedRec is exploring the possibility of using blockchain to give doctors and hospitals access to that data, if you consent.

"You've got Fitbit, Apple Watch, all this consumer tech collecting data on your blood pressure, heart rate, etc," said Forde. "Then you go to the hospital or your doctor and they have their own system. You see the allergist and they've got their own system, and none of it is connected. If there's no interoperability between any of these systems, how are you going to get the best possible care?"

The federal government recognizes blockchain's potential for health care, and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is already doing something about it. The Tbar sandals berry Clearance 2018 New Outlet Cheap Authentic Cheap Sale 2018 Supply Sale Online Discount Visit G5Eca
gathered more than 70 submissions of academic papers on blockchain usage in health IT and health-related research, announcing 15 winners this past September spanning organizations including Deloitte, IBM, MIT (MedRec was one of the winners), and The Mayo Clinic. The winners, who presented to the HHS for possible development and implementation, proposed blockchain solutions for everything from health insurance claims and payments to data interoperability and Medicaid applications. The Chamber of Digital Commerce, which participated in the challenge, sees blockchain's potential to transform healthcare and beyond.
